A Good Work in You

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Phillippians 1:6 NIV)  What does this verse mean?

What God intends to be will be.  What God has promised will come true. What we started will be finished.  Many times we concentrate on the timing of completion or the how we will reach the finished project, but in doing so we forget about the now.  We forget about living in the present. We forget to live in the moment and live for today. Today is our gift.

How do I work on living for today?  In a fast pace world,  it can be very challenging to slow down and not lose sight of what’s most important.  I do my best to make time for "down time".  I also believe in naps, resting, and listening to your body. Healthy body means healthy mind.  Just like the pottery wheel spins fast, we must slow down to transition into the next shape and maintain a healthy balance.

As we live in the moments we are blessed with, let it be with a confident heart.  God will guide you as you seek His perfect will and plan for you. Allow time to breathe in and exhale.  Allow time to restore your soul.  Your quietness and confidence is your strength.

If there is something God has given you to do, a specific assignment, a dream or a vision, put aside all the "what ifs". He will provide the answers along the way.  What's more important is to take active steps in the direction He says to go and be obedient.  As you take action, your faith and confidence will begin to grow in yourself through Christ!

Remember, He started a good work in you from day one and it will be completed in His perfect timing.
