Untrue Thoughts about Yourself
I was asked recently to talk about the importance of becoming the best version of yourself. As I was reflecting on this topic, I began to write down concrete steps that I believe will help you in becoming the best version of yourself. And what is so interesting about this process is as we are working on becoming the best version of ourselves, we in turn are also building our self-confidence and creating a new lifestyle.
This is what LIVE LIFE WITH CONFIDENCE is all about! Here is step one.
Step 1: Let go of untrue thoughts you have about your inherent nature.
These are limiting beliefs that are holding you back from pursuing your goals and desires. Take some time to reflect and identify what your limiting beliefs are. Identify the beliefs you want to work on and overcome. Next, identify the root causes of those beliefs. Did someone speak these beliefs over you? And thirdly, challenge the limiting beliefs. In order to change your beliefs, you must change your environment. And lastly, keep a journal to write down your thoughts and beliefs.
Changing habits can be hard. Changing our beliefs is harder. But once we change a belief, our habit will change automatically. Remember, your thoughts produce your feelings, and your feelings generate your actions, and your actions create your results.
