Year end final comments

Here we are one day before this year ends and the year 2022 begins.  We’ve been through a lot the past two years and you have been resilient through it all. I want to applaud you for not giving up and staying positive even when there may have been times you didn’t feel like it.

I want to encourage you to continue to pursue your dreams, continue to work on your goals (short-term or long-term), and continue to be the best version of yourself.

Remember, every day is a new day. Each day is a new opportunity to start over and each day can make difference. How do we make each day count? I have written 12 of my tips to making each day count and to having a positive new year.

Here they are:

1.     Your positivity must be greater than all the negativity around you.

2.     Practice gratitude every day by focusing on your blessings. If you are focusing on your blessings, you cannot be negative.

3.     Exercise and eat healthier foods so that you will have the best energy for each day.

4.     Get plenty of sleep and allow time for your body to rest, relax, and recover.

5.     Have a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset.

6.     Practice kindness by looking for opportunities to love, serve and care for others.

7.     Laugh more. Laughter is a natural medicine for our body (anti-depressants).

8.     Be present in the moment so that you can live each day to the fullest.

9.     Don’t waste your energy on the past or on things you can’t control. It will steal your joy.

10.  Live on purpose. If you know your purpose and your calling, you will know your WHY.

11.  Start a success journal.  Each night before you go to bed, write down the one great thing about your day.

12.  Pray and meditate.  Scientific research shows that these daily practices reduce stress, boost positive energy, and promote health, vitality, and longevity.

My prayer for you as we move into 2022, is that you will be bold in your VISION and ENERGIZED to carry it out.  I pray that you will give yourself permission to dream again. May you end this year CONFIDENT and CALM. May you begin to live out your purpose and use your God-given talents for the kingdom of God. There is still so much work to be done and you are being called to RISE UP.

Wishing you all the best and a Happy New Year!
